Currently, I'm starting to read volume 2 of The Secrets of the Immortal Nicolas Flamel by Michael Scott, The Magician. Personally, I think the first book (and the subsequent volumes) is pretty fascinating with lots of characters from legends and myths. I hope the end would be a happy one, since the plot of volume 5 doesn't seem like it (I read the preview)

I'm currently reading 3 books for school. ^^;. And I don't like any of them. I won't list two of them by name, as they're 'adult' books, but one of them is Emma, by Jane Austen. I know many people love her books, and this novel in particular, but I don't like it thus far. And I'm halfway through it. :( . It's put me to sleep on several occasions, and it seems to just drag on and on. I'm hoping I manage to get through it, at least. But it's pretty unlikely. :(

I recently bought a Nook so now all I ever seem to do is read. Right now I'm readking a book called The Mating by Nicky Charles. Its part of a three book series (Law of the Lycans) that I was able to get for free. Free books = heaven. :3

I am reading Catching Fire, the second book in the Hunger Games trilogy. And I am loving it.

After that, I'm going to start on:

*Mockingjay, the final book in the HG trilogy, by Suzanne Collins

and

*Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen

Both of these were recommended to me by HOLers. :D

Right now I'm reading "Married to Africa" by G. Pascal Zachary. It honestly surprised me at how much I am enjoying it. It's an autographical love story which is usually not my genre at all.

Reading A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin. I can only describe it as epic. Favorite in ASoIaF so far, without a doubt.

Coincidentally, I'm reading The Hound of the Baskervilles...this is my first foray into Sir Arthur's writing, and I'm pleasantly surprised at how readable/accessible it is!

Also I'm reading Little, Big by John Crowley...it's some of the most beautiful writing I've ever read, and already one of my favorites. A shimmery fantasy.

I'm reading A Monstrous Regiment of Women by Laurie R. King. It's the second book in a series about Sherlock Holmes and Mary Russell. I love this series because the author does such a great job of making you believe that Mary actually worked with Sherlock. She even calls John Watson "Uncle John".
