Fantasy and Fiction are tied for me :P
It's better to be be hated for what you are, than to be loved for what you're not.

I don't care. I will read anything in English as long as it's well-written. For instance, I personally am not fond of sci-fi but I just read a really great sci-fi book. It's not the genre that makes a book good for me, but the style and the characters. The main character can be a cheerleader, cowboy, princess, Vulcan, dragon, sparkly vampire, or botanist but if it's not three-dimensional and engaging, I don't bother with it. :D
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.
Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

My favourite book category, and it seems like most of you agree with me, is definitely fantasy. I love it that anything can happen and that it's always exciting (and that the hero/heroine is usually around my age, i.e. young). The Lord of the Rings is definitely the best trilogy ever written.
