Schedule of Broom Games

Postby Will Lestrange » Wed Jul 11, 2018 3:57 am

The following is the schedule of the broom games that will be played over the course of SQL this year (all will be played at 9 PM HOL).

"Quaffle", of course, is just like the Quaffle games played in House matches during the academic year, but with two small tweaks designed to make it friendlier to newcomers:

1) For SQL, Quaffle games will consist of three 15-minute periods broken up by two 3-minute breaks. (By contrast, in regular House games, Quaffle consists of two periods of 30-45 minutes each, potentially interrupted with the catch of a Golden Snitch.)
2) For SQL, captains may freely substitute players for their teams between periods. (By contrast, in regular house games, Keeper substitutions are only allowed under very restricted circumstances - and no other player substitutions are allowed at all.)

If you want to refresh your memory on how the other broom games are played: look over HERE!

Saturday, July 14: Xany

Saturday, August 11: Creaothceann

Will the question set be the same as the official ref set, or we plan to go easy on non-pros? :)

Quaffle games will use the official ref set.

The IRC games are set up for more even-across-the-board chances. The person who wins in one of the IRC games, depending on the format, might be the newest newbie of the team. :)

PS - Yes, Vanessa! Excited and ready to play!
