Hear ye! Hear ye!

Limine Snidget (Prof.)

Scarlet Leslie-Lewis (Prof.)
Shiloh Adlar
Silas Hipolito Crist
Vanessa Tilley

The Games will be starting Monday, July 9th, and continue for a tempest filled six weeks of harrowing adventures. We will have Quaffle, IRC Games, Snitch and activities in the HOL Forum to completely bewilder and befuddle the participants!

More specifically --
Each week will see two activities in the HOL forum - a creative task and some sort of puzzle.
Each weekend, on Saturday at 9 pm HOL time, we will have an IRC activity. We will alternate between IRC Quidditch games and Quaffle on the weekends. The last weekend (August 18th and 19th), though, will be a double feature, with Quaffle play on Saturday and Quodpot (yes, we will bring out the cauldrons for that!) on Sunday.
We plan that all the persons who showed signs of seeking Snitch fame will have one to two games with opponents of comparable skill.

TEAM POINTS** will be earned:

IRC games
Those who show up to play that day earn 2 team points for participating. To get participation credit you need to show up by the start of the last game.
IRC Games - 1st place 15, 2nd place 10, 3rd place 5 team points per game
Team IRC games - the winner earns 35 team points -- loser earns 10 team points

Quaffle games
Those who show up to play that day earn 2 team points for participating. To get participation credit you need to show up by the start of the last 15-minute period of the game.
Winning team earns 70 points. Loser earns 20 points.
Tie-games - each team earns 50 points.

Snitch games
Winning seeker earns 35 points. Loser earns 10 points.
If it is a tie-game, both seekers earn 15 points.
If a seeker shows up timely, and the other one does not show, the seeker who shows up earns 25 points.

Quaffle & Snitch Ref
Those who ref, either Quaffle or Snitch, earn 2 team points for participating. This will also count towards credit for activity for that game (either Quaffle or Snitch).

Forum Activities
Each person earns 5 Team Points for each activity completed within a week of it being posted. If done after that time, they earn 3 Team Points.

10 beans for each completed forum task (at any time)
20 beans for showing up for a game at (or before) game time (ie in time to PLAY in the game)
20 beans for reffing in either quaffle or snitch
People on the winning team will receive double the amount of Beans

If you have indicated interest in Seeking, please be alert to a topic opening up which will ask you for favored times to play. We will do our best to coordinate you with a seeker of comparable ability so you can enjoy a nice, peaceful Snitch game.
If you have indicated interest in being a Referee, please be alert to a topic opening up where you can post to indicate what kind of reffing you do, as well as days and times you can ref.
** Team Points - These points are SQL team points only. They are not House Points. However, not only will you earn Team Points for your team, you will earn Beans! And if you are on the winning team, you will receive double the number of Beans you earned. In addition, we offer an Award!

Yes, if you participate in at least 11 activities altogether (out of the 20 or 21 (depending on snitch play) which will be offered) and participate in 3 out of the 4 Events (Forum, Quaffle, IRC games and Snitch), you will receive a lovely SQL 2018 Award plopped into your Profile folder!

Note: If for accessibility reasons you can’t complete this task, please send an HOL Forum PM to me, explaining which task it is, and I'll provide an alternative task for you. :)
