Week One – Iceland

Post by Maxim Trevelyan » Mon Jul 02, 2018 12:04 am

A Nordic island nation of little more than 330,000 people, Iceland boasts a varied contrasting landscape of volcanoes, hot springs, lava fields and geysers.

We are going to spend a few days camping in this beautiful country while we will be exploring its nature, such as The Volcano Hekla, Reynisfjara Beach, The Blue Lagoon and Hornstrandir Nature Reserve.

However, we must be careful were to put our tents, so we will not get swept away by nature and its elements. Solve the tents puzzle below to figure out optimal camping positions and send the solution to me over HOL Forum message (Subject: BrtW – Iceland) by September 2nd 11:59 pm HOL time for 25 Hoots and 10 beans.

How to solve a tents puzzle:
  • Place tents in the grid.
  • Each tree should have one tent next to it (horizontally or vertically).
  • Tents do not touch each other, not even diagonally.
  • A tree might be next to two tents, but is only connected to one.
  • The numbers outside the grid show how many tents are in that row or column.
