Task Two: Sunken Ships

Postby Gail Allen » Mon Jan 15, 2018 8:09 pm

Shots have been fired! On to Task Two! Our theme for this task is: Sunken Ships!

Below you will find four tasks that are to be completed. Each task is assigned to a member of your crew. ONLY the person to whom the task is assigned can submit the team's answer for that task, even if the team works together to solve it.

If you have a crew member who just isn't around this week, you can declare them "sea sick" in the appropriate area of your forum. We will then tell you which crew member may fill in for them.

If you have a crew member who has completely disappeared, you can declare them "lost at sea" in the appropriate area of your forum. They will not be able to return in future tasks. Each task, we will assign another crew member to cover for them.

Captain Task
Color the sunken ship below. You must include a minimum of 10 different colors.

Commander Task
Hashi Rules

All islands must be connected to other islands with as many bridges as the number stated on the island indicates.
There are no more than two bridges in the same direction.
Bridges can only be vertical or horizontal and are not allowed to cross islands or other bridges.
When completed, all bridges are interconnected enabling passage from any island to another.

Rear Admiral Task
Your ship is filling with water! Head below to fix the pipes and save your ship! Rotate the grey pipe pieces until you have complete paths from each colored spigot to the matching drains. Sometimes you will need 2 spigots connected to one drain to match the color (i.e. you would need a red spigot and a yellow spigot to connect together to an orange spigot). All pieces must be used, the spigots and drains do not rotate.

Lieutenant Task

Song Identification
The video below contains clips of 15 different songs. Each song relates somehow to the themes of this activity (ships, bodies of water, etc.). Identify each song (we only need the song title, not the artist).

These tasks are due by 11:59 pm HOL time on January 17. Failure to submit a task will result in the total possible time being added to the team overall time.

REMEMBER: INCOMPLETE ANSWERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

If you declare a member "sea sick" this round, this will be their replacement:
Captain = Commander (and vice versa)
Lieutenant = Read Admiral (and vice versa)

If you need to declare more than two members "sea sick" and they were supposed to replace each other, then please contact an organizer.

Five hours left, crews! We have several teams who have yet to submit all 4 tasks. Remember if someone isn't around you can declare them sea sick!
