The crackling of the fire in the fireplace was a comforting sound to Felicia this morning. She had attempted to take a walk around the school’s grounds since it seemed to be so nice when she threw back her curtains that morning to find the sun streaming into her room. But then when she opened the main door of the castle, and a brutally cold wind hit her square in the face making her to quickly close the door, turned around and walk to her office to see if she could catch up on a little bit of work.
A glance at the inbox on the corner of her desk, all she saw was a parchment with information regarding February’s House Spirit Awards. She smiled to herself knowing that she was finally caught up with announcements.
Felicia reached for the parchment and began to read through it, taking a sip of from her huge tea mug every now and then. All the nominations seemed to be in order, and as far as she could see, well deserved. She was just about to take another sip of her tea when her eyes scanned a name. One that hasn’t been nominated for HSA in some time.
“Well, well, well.” Felicia spoke aloud, “That didn’t take so long.” It was a name that seemed to pop up the award categories a few years ago, but it was nice to see it listed now, since her return.
The parchment read:
February Hufflepuff House Spirit Awards
Ickle First - Reggy Faraday - Reggy has been a busy Badger this month, earning lots of points as a Firstie and quite active in the Sett as well as HOL.
The Reserved Badger - goes to Riliey Starshine (teaches a class and earns points) and Alex Sparks (as one of the best students in the OWL’s) and both are quiet and “reserved” when visiting the Sett.
Order of Helga - Hard Work - goes to Maxim Trevelyan ( on top of creating activities of great fun for Hufflepuff and HOL, he found the time to play cupid around the Sett during Valentine’s Day).
Bright Badger - goes to Katya Snow.
House Spirit Award - goes to Belle Black (returned from an extended leave and is very active in the Sett (posting 191 times since her return) and earning 1474 points in her first term back)
Felicia picked up her quill and scribbled her name to the bottom of the parchment in the red ink that was her signature ink, to show her agreement to the awards and her acknowledgment to post.
