HOL Appreciation Month - GOLD SPIRIT AWARD

Postby Maxwell Shadow » Thu Sep 01, 2016 12:38 pm

The start of a new school year seems to me the perfect time to reflect on what we all managed to achieve last year. During HOL Appreciation Month of August 2015 we asked you to set goals for what you wanted to achieve in terms of points, classes and anything else in the HOL world. Some of us set really challenging targets whilst others were happy to earn a couple of quills and move onto the next year. Whatever your personal HOL goals were we promised you an award if you reached them and I have the happy honour of presenting to you the winners of the HOL Appreciation Gold Spirit Award. I've included one of the targets they achieved so you can see the variety and challenge of the goals they set for themselves, although it should be noted that each of the award winners achieved at least 3 of their goals. Well done to:

Aleisha Stone - Earn a minimum of 6 quills, advance to 3rd year.
Alessandra Grace - Write an article for the Paw Print, possibly every month
Ariella McManus - Run at least 1 HOL wide activity
Arielle Lemoyne - Earn 4000 points
Ashley Margaret - Teach at least one class during the spring term.
Darcey Goode - To get back into proper quidditch form and play for SQT.
February Fortescue - Submit one article for my column for each issue of SerpenTimes
Hermione Bronte - Earn 300 points (full points) in at least 3 classes.
Ivelissa Ada - Cheer on (or play for) HQT at least once
Joey Stark - Earn at least 2000 points for Ravenclaw
Kim Alting - Be active in other common rooms than Gryffindor's/participate in activities in other common rooms
Leonie Hauri - Earn at least one award this year.
Matilde Rayne - Complete at least 6 OWLs (though I'd definitely like to do more, if I have the time)
Niniel Sanders - Pass the NEWTs and graduate
Polaris Black - Fulfill all Student Teacher, Prefect, Editor, and Assistant commitments
Prof. Amy Lupin - Run at least 1 activity each for HOL and Slytherin
Prof. Cody Lewis - Add another stripe to the SQT uniforms
Prof. Scarlet Leslie Lewis - Publish at least one issue of the SepenTines each term
Prof. Tarma Amelia Black - Earn 3000+ points and earn 8+ Quills.
Ravariel Aiwince - To participate in and complete at least one HOL activity.
Rayne Devereaux - Earn at least 6 Quills (and finally advance to my third year >.> )
Riliey Starshine - Complete all OWLs

Congratulations to all award winners.

HOL Appreciation month will be returning at some point in the future but in the mean time feel free to set yourself some targets for the next school year in this thread. (Remember... points, quills and then everything else!) Maybe I'll be back next year to offer you lot a Gold Spirit Award!

My goals: Finish all the classes that I start, progress to second year, win some awards, and submit something to one of the newsletters.

My goals... Earn 1000 points for Ravenclaw over the course of the year and obtain at least two quills a term. I also want to submit an article to the Alte that is unrelated to one of the challenges.

Welp, this is a little late, but I do have some goals I've been storing since the beginning of the school year.

1.) Earn over 3000 points
2.) Take the maximum amount of classes
3.) Earn at least 8 quills

Ooops, me too! Thank you, Aurelia, for posting.

I'd like to do what I did last year, which is to --
* earn 3000+ points
* earn 8+ Quills

In addition I'd like to --
* make me (or get someone to make me) a new siggy and avatar (new to me as of this moment because while I really like what I have now, from The Princess Bride, that is for the HOLLERS Letter Tiles for January and I'd like to have a new one with ... pirates or Princess Bride or pirates or badgers or ?)

I should probably post something too. Perhaps something more attainable than last year...

*get 3200+ points
*earn 10 quills
*write at least 3 chapters for collaborative book writing
*turn something in for either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw newspapers

Here is to hoping!
