Week 1-Ask Me...

Postby Sky Alton » Mon Aug 21, 2017 12:11 am

Let’s indulge our curiosity for a moment. The game is simple. All you have to do is answer the question posted by the person above you and then ask one of your own!

For example:
Person 1: If you were a magical creature, which would you be?
Person 2: A Hippogriff-they’re so noble!
If you went to Hogwarts, what would be your best subject?
Person 3: Herbology for sure
Would you rather be …

You get the idea! Answer, then question. You can ask anything you like (relating to Hol, Harry Potter or more general things) providing you keep it completely respectful/HOL-appropriate and remember not to ask anyone for personal info! In short, keep it fun.

So, to start…
Person below me, if you were a wizarding sweet, which would you be and why?

Chocolate frogs! I just love chocolate, yeah.

Not counting Hogwarts (or HOL), to what wizarding school would you want to go the most?

Ilvermorny of course. seeing that I live in the USA, there would be less traveling involved!

What would be your first stop in Diagon Alley when you go get your school supplies?

The magical equipment shops for sure. I love shiny things with obscure uses! :D

Would you rather encounter a thunderbird or a hippogriff?

Answer: I would rather encounter a Hippogriff! If you manage to earn their trust, they are fiercely loyal and protective creatures. I would just have to be careful not to offend it by, you know, unintentionally blinking or something...

Fun Fact: Did you know that, in some traditions, the Hippogriff is believed to be a symbol of love? This is because its parents, the Mare and Griffin, are natural enemies. Cute, right?

Question: Which Quidditch position would you rather play?

Seeker! I've always been fascinated by the role they play on Quidditch teams, and I especially enjoy seeking on HOL.

Ooh, nice question. I'd pick someone from history so I could learn a little more about them. Maybe Cliodne (whose name I've always liked!)

Which Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes product would you most like to get your hands on?

A: Bruise Removal Paste! It may sound dull considering all of the things they have to offer but I bruise all over, all the time, and it's such a pain!

Q: Do you have strong feelings about what your patronus would be, other than the one you were given by pottermore?

I honestly have never been able to pinpoint what my Patronus would be, but I feel strongly that it would be something ridiculous like a platypus or a Pink Fairy Armadillo. That legitimately exists.

If you could teach any magical subject at a Wizarding school, what would it be?

Arithmancy; it's closest to my area of expertise in the Muggle world. Of course, if we're not sticking to canon there are other things that might be more fun...

What would be your favorite item from Honeydukes?

Answer: Cauldron cakes! I love chocolate. I would get one every time I visited Honeydukes.

Question: What other wand cores would you like to see?

Ahhh, we didn't ever really get a lot of information about the things Honeydukes sold. I mean, there are a fair few, but I'm sure there are a lot more. I think that I would like to try Pepper Imps, because catching things on fire with your breath sounds awesome.

Pick a twin! Fred Weasley or George?

Hmm, this is a hard one. I'll pick George, maybe. But really, there will always be an "and" between the two of them.

Question: What position do you see yourself playing in in a game of Quidditch? Or are you the referee or the biggest fan of a team? (oops, that's 2 questions there.)

Honestly, you bring up a good point. There is more to Quidditch than just the players. So, truthfully, I would see myself in the crowd. I don't see myself in a position and since I can't even dip my pizza crust right into the ranch sauce, I doubt I'd be a seeker. So, no, no position. Just HARDCORE cheering.

If you could ask one Hogwarts professor one question, who would it be and what would the question be?

I know that's technically two questions, but too bad.

Answer: This question is insanely hard! I would love to have long debates with several different Professors, given that they are extraordinary wizards (and often have quirky personalities!). If I were to ask any of them a question, it would only lead to the next, and the next, and the next... The impossibility of asking more than one would leave me entirely unsatisfied, and probably more confused than I was before. Taking this into consideration, I believe I would pick Professor Rubeus Hagrid and simply ask him for a half-giant hug (that's better than a bear-hug, right?) ^_^

Question: Which is your favorite charm?

Accio! Because I'm as lazy as that.

A dragon. I've always been fascinated by them.

Which book from the Hogwarts library would you be most keen to read?

Sachiko, that was an awesome answer.

Uh, I would hope to turn into Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, First of her name, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First men, Protector of the Realm, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Unburnt, Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, Queen of Mereen.

I'm on a bit of a Game of Thrones binge...

If you could have a dragon, which breed would you prefer?

Ooo, this is tough. I love all dragons. But... Knowing me, I'll have to go with the Swedish Short-Snout. Blue is my favorite color, so the silvery-blue scales will definitely attract me.

What would Amortentia smell like for you?
