Summer Quidditch League (SQL) is back for Summer 2016!
What is SQL?
SQL is a time when many House boundaries dissolve and people from different Houses play on the same Quidditch Team. In fact, one of the requirements to have a team is that people from more than one House is ON that team.
As it says in The Quidditch Handbook, Other Quidditch Events, SQL "is an open, no experience necessary opportunity for HOLers to enjoy the marvelous game that is Quidditch." You do not need to have played Quidditch for your House in order to be on a team. You don't have to be in a House to be on a team, either. (You do, however, have to be a member of HOL.)
Come join us! Play!
If you want a look at what happened last year, go read SQL 2015. Please keep in mind that the team and quaffle rules might change from year to year.
One of the changes from last year to this is that only one of the teams will rotate during a game. Each team will play each other team twice, once as Team A (rotating) and once as Team B.
Another change is that this year we have BLUDGERS! Yes, SQL has Bludgers this year. If a person is Bludgered, they will have a 0lr placed on their answers until the next score is made. (See Quaffle Rules for more details.)
The only thing that doesn't change is that most folks cross their fingers and hope for the best -- and seem to have a good time.
