A Celebration of Harry Potter

Postby Prof. Tarma Amelia Black » Tue Jul 18, 2017 5:10 pm

Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone was first published on June 26, 1997, twenty years ago. We've had three weeks of diving into various activities, having fun and earning points and/or Beans. But now it's time to wrap it up.

Thank you Amy, Arianna, Ariella, Aurelia, Gail, Hanna, Katelin, Kaitlyn, Kendra, Kim, Kirsten, Lavinia, Maxim, Maxwell, Polaris, Rorey, Rowan, Shiloh, Sirius, Sky, Vanessa, Will and Zai for making this a most wonderful celebration of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

The Mirror of Erised award will be given to those who completed at least half of the tasks --

These folks are -- Arianna, Aurelia, Gail, Katelin, Kaitlyn, Kendra, Kim, Maxim, Polaris, Rorey, Shiloh, Sirius, Sky, Tarma, Vanessa and Will.

Beans have been given out; if you earned House points, you will receive them when the points database opens up again come September.

Amy, Sky and I wish to extend a very big thank you to Professor Emerald Dybendahl, aka The Traveller, aka Rames, who came up with the idea for HOL Hogwarts, started it and has maintained it all these years.

Thank you, Rames.

Hi Kim. I went and double checked. This is what I found.
You participated in the tasks (which earned points) and not the discussions or prompts (which earned Beans).
But you just got a shiny Award in your folder!

This was a lot of fun! Thank you for running this! It has me itching to re-read the series again when I have at least 20 other books on my list just for the summer! It also brought up a lot of good memories which I appreciated.
