April - Haiku Poetry Day
Posted: Sun Apr 01, 2018 12:18 am
Observed on April 17th, Haiku Poetry Day honors this short poetry form that originated in Japan.
Did you know that haiku became popular in English speaking countries in the early 20th century?
Haiku is a type of short poetry that is usually three sentences long. The first and last sentences have 5 syllables and the second line has 7 syllables.
For this task, make three individual haikus (or more), or a longer poem made up of three haikus and post them below. Haikus must be of your own creation and all normal HOL rules apply.
For 15 Hoots and 15 beans, post your haiku as a reply to this thread by April 30th, 11:59 PM HOL time at the latest.
