For the HOL Quidditch Cup, the four house teams compete in a double round - every team has to play all the others twice for a total of six matches in one school year. Each match gives 3 match points to the winning team and 0 match points for the losing team; a tie game gives 1 match point to both teams.
The team that has won the most games at the end of the year wins the Quidditch Cup. If two teams have an identical win-loss record, they will play a tie-breaker game that will determine the winner of the Quidditch Cup.
Be aware that game points scored by and against a team no longer determine a team's ranking, though this may not be reflected in the Quidditch Department.
The HOL Quidditch Cup will be awarded after the final match of the season. The HOL Quidditch Cup and the HOL House Cup are separate awards. No extra house points are awarded for winning the HOL Quidditch Cup.
