A little owl probably told you that HOL is celebrating its 15th amazing year so it should come as no surprise that the Owl Post Office in Hogsmeade has commissioned you to design a commemorative stamp to mark HOL's 15th anniversary.
So what exactly is a commemorative stamp? It’s a postage stamp that is issued in limited quantities to honor a person or in this case, a special event. Unlike a definitive stamp that is sold for an extended period of time, a commemorative stamp is only available until supplies run out.
Have fun with your designs! The subject of the commemorative stamp is usually spelled out in print, so include the inscription "FIFTEEN YEARS" if you like. Please keep your graphics less than 600x600 pixels
. Feel free to use one of these horizontal
, or square
stamp templates or you can create one of your own!
Upload your graphic to an image-hosting site such as Photobucket or Tinypic and post the picture in this thread to earn your points. If you feel inspired, you can post a series of up to three additional stamps, each worth 20 beans for a maximum of 60 beans!
In order to get full points for this task (ie. 10 points), you'll need to submit your stamp by Sunday, 27 September
at 11:59 PM HOL time. Otherwise, feel free to still send in your graphic after then - you will still get some points for it.
The HOL Art Department hosts several projects like this a year – the current projects are Book Covers
and Favorite Projects
. Regardless of your skill level, you are encouraged to submit graphics, drawings, or photographs and later review the submissions of others. So check out the Art Galleries
to choose a former project and if you haven’t already done so, make your own Trading Card
