Arielle couldn't believe it was her last sorting ceremony. Well maybe not her very last, she thought, noticing a few people who had graduated, as well as a few professors, sitting at their house tables. But still, it was her last start of term feast as a student and she was already getting emotional. She knew this would continue all year - she'd have her last first day of class, her last exams, her last trip to Hogsmeade... Of course she hoped to come back in the future, but it wouldn't be the same.
As the sorting begun, Arielle thought of her own sorting, and how nervous she was about making friends and fitting in at the new school. It seemed like so long ago, but at the same time, she wasn't ready for the whole experience to be over. Finally, she took a deep breath and tried to pay attention as the last few names were called. What she really needed to do was just enjoy the ceremony. She pushed her feelings out of her mind, and when the next Ravenclaw was sorted, she cheered loudly, with the rest of the table.
