March Workshop - Sirius

Postby Sirius Fudge » Thu Mar 30, 2017 2:38 pm

Lumos! A ball of light shines
Orchideous! Radiant flowers as well
The room smelled like a garden

Tarantallegra! My friends dance
Mobiliarbus! Christmas trees, too!
It was a fun-filled party for everyone

Nox! The lights are out
Colloportus! The door is locked
One happy memory tonight.

I really love how cheerful this poem is! It offers a very positive mood that would be wonderful for a new school song! I really enjoyed how you incorporated the spells into the poem and how they act as active participants. I also enjoy how you used an active voice, as I feel as though that also creates a feeling as though the speaker is just now discovering this whole world of wonderful new knowledge! For some reason the ending of one happy memory makes me think of collecting a memory and gently putting away somewhere safe, and that also strikes a lovely image in my head. All around, a lovely and inspiring poem, Sirius!
