Oh so many. But if I were to name one, it would be Lance Armstrong, for his life history and the way he managed to overcome his nightmares.

Roger Federer. Without a doubt. Awesome game, always very classy attitude. Could go on for a page describing his near-perfect tennis game to you, but I'll spare you. wink.gif Again, great attitude. Good loser, great winner!

I think that Carly Patterson is an amazing gymnast. She did an amazing job in the Olympics, pulling up from eighth to first. I also liked Paul Hamm in the men's competiton, he really pulled his score up after his first rotation as well.

For me, it has got to be Liverpool's Harry Kewell and Manchester United's Alan Smith. They rules!! They're both great and really good players. biggrin.gif And also, Byrant in Basketball, i know that not many people like him. But I think that he's a great basketball player and would do wonders with the ball. Lastly, Li Jia Wei in Table Tennis. She's a Singaporean Pride!! Gogogogogo!

My favorite athlete of the moment is Carly Patterson. Winning a Gold in the Women's All-Around Gymnastics Competition was incredible and I found her very inspirational as she's only 16 which means that this is just the beginning. I also find Michael Phelps to be an amazing athlete, giving up his relay spot so another teammate would have a shot at a medal.

I'm going to have to say that my favourite footballer/soccer player is Davis Beckham. I don't just like him because he's a pretty boy either. He can actually play an knows how to get the ball in the net. Oh and I also like Allan Smith, who plays for Manchester U. Brilliant
I have to say that Carlos Moya and Mardy Fish are amazing tennis players. Fish hasn't been playing professionally as long as a lot of other players, like Andy Roddick, but hes still doing great. OH and Andy's not that bad either.

Mine is Steve Prefontaine (long distance runner).
Even though he's been dead for a while now, he was still an outstanding athlete.
But my Nascar favorite is Jamie McMurray. Nascar is pretty much the only sport I watch, except the Olympics.
