You are welcome to post about any game you like, but please abide by the following rules:

List the system in parentheses after the game title, i.e. -- Gran Turismo 4 (PS2).

Look for a thread already started on the game. Use the search button if you have to. Please don’t start multiple threads on one game. If a game is on more than one system, don’t start different threads for different systems unless the games are very different.

You’re allowed to discuss games of all ratings, but please keep all discussion G rated. If you’re not sure if something’s appropriate or not, check with one of the mods.

We understand that many games feature some sort of battle system, and yes, you can discuss battles. Just don’t let the discussion get gory or overly violent. Again, if you’re not sure, check. The mods don’t bite. Really.

If you are discussing online games such as Warcraft or Neopets, please don’t advertise your guild, clan, or other group. Same goes for anything you want to buy, sell, or trade. Online games have their own forums for that. Also, please don’t give out your username. If you want to share usernames, do it through PM.

Please note that this forum is not for actually playing games. Forum text games (such as 'this or that', or any other game involving one or two word posts) will be deleted without notice. Repeat offenders will be fed to the Giant Squid. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Adding to the rules that the ever-lovely Chloe Fairchilde has posted, here are the giudelines for topics covering RPG and LARP threads:

* There will be only ONE thread for all things Dungeons & Dragons. With as many offshoots as there are to the game, it is best to keep all things D&D in one concentric place.

* For the White Wolf fans, discussion of the old World of Darkness versus the new World of Darkness system will be contained to one thread as well. This, however, is for the core of the WoD system...not the individual "games" that have developed off of them.

* All things Mind's Eye Theatre will fall under the same ruling as D& thread for it all.

* There will be topics for Storytellers/DM's to share game ideas. Do not start new ones of your own. Keep the ideas to the one topic, please.

* Discussion of Black Dog games will NOT be on-topic for the Games Forum. As most of the Black Dog games contain "mature" content, their discussion would only violate the G rating that HOL maintains.

Additionally, to the computer/video games and the RPG/LARP games...discussion of card and board games are also on-topic here. [[Look for a couple topis about Medieval card games from yours truly in the semi-near future.]]
