Yeah, I've got the Dragonology handbook and I hope to get the Egyptology handbook for my birthday, which is in two months! It's hard to wait two months for a book you really want that you can't buy for yourself because you didn't get it for Xmas. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" b...

Lestat the Musical sounds just as absurd as Edward Scissorhands the Ballet. Ugh! I read up to and including Memnoch in high school. I've tried re-reading them, but I just can't seem to get into them again. I love both movies. I'll try reading them again sometime, especially as I keep buying the hard...

Flyte, the second book in the Septimus Heap series, will be released a year after the first. Mark your calendars for the first of March! Looks like this one will also include a little CD, like the first. Not too shabby.

I can now (finally) say I've seen Nine Inch Nails live. I've only been waiting for, oh ten years!! It was an absolutely awesome concert, and worth every penny. I can't wait to see them again.

From my local bookstore. (Imagine that! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ) Most bookstores (large and small) can order in any book that's still in print, so if you can't find it, it's pretty simple to set that up. Alternatively, it may be availabl...

Merlin.

Really.

That's what the book says!

Though you may have more luck looking up Candlewick Press, Templar Publishing, and Dugald Steer. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

(Apparently Pirateology is next ... I want to see Monsterology and Faeology!) So the book claims to have been created by Merlin a...

Uh guys? Daniel Handler is the real name of Lemony Snicket. Lemony Snicket is a "pen name" ... like a nickname. They're the same person. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I've been re-reading the books in anticipation of the movie coming out this winter and ... wow. Now that I know they're based on Christian mythology/theology, I don't know how I could have ever missed it. I just re-finished The Horse and His Boy last night and is it ever racist ! The Calormenes are ...

Harry Potter goes without saying.

If I had to pick just one favourite series right now (not counting HP), I would have to go with The Fey, by Kristine Kathryn Rusch. Fantastically detailed, intricate and imaginative!!

Unfortunately I get so few books read during the school year (yay university), that I had to say only around 7. When I graduate (next year! woot!), I'll finally be able to read for fun again!! So looking forward to that. But, thinking about it, I know I've read much more than 7 books so far this yea...

I picked this up in an attempt to amuse myself during the wait for Harry Potter book 6. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> It was allright, if a little predictable. There's potential there for a great series, but I suppose time will tell. What did you th...

The BBC made movies of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, as well as The Silver Chair and Prince Caspian, if I recall correctly. You can buy them from Amazon or from the BBC online. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I've just started the series and am halfway through the third book. My husband and I are going to rent the movie when I finish the book (so, probably this weekend!), and I've got my fingers crossed that it's enjoyable. At least I know Jim Carrey is proabably perfectly cast!
