Re: Submit to SerpenTimes!

Need something to do as you wait for term to begin again? Write an article or two for SerpenTimes! Mystery is the theme for the next issue. The deadline is October 15th. Two months may seem far away, but time will fly as soon as classes start.

Re: Favorite Board Game

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle is a lot of fun! I definitely like the cooperative aspect. Cody and I are both very competitive, so when we play games like Dominion, Carcassonne, or Settlers of Catan, it can get very tense. It's much better when we have to work together. We were able to beat the game ...

Thanks!

I sent a PM on the forum as well as an email to both emails associated with Janie's account. If none of those work, let me know.

I scored a goal! Slytherin wins!

Even with Cody coaching me, I failed at this game. I think it just shows that I'm definitely not a Chaser.

Reffing Experience/Preferences (Quaffle, Snitch, both): Both! But I still prefer Snitch.
Summer Availability: I don't have any major plans this summer, but my schedule is a pain to explain. Just ask me and I'll tell you whether I'm free to ref or not.

Yes, please! ~o~

In general, I'm available from 3 pm to 8 pm HOL time on weekdays. I'm free any time every other weekend (including this upcoming weekend, July 8-9) and after 11 pm HOL time if it's my weekend to work.

Re: Favorite Board Game

I enjoyed the murder mystery type games growing up, like Clue and 13 Dead End Drive. It's possible that Miss Scarlet influenced my HOL name choice, though I typically played Mrs. Peacock because... blue! Mahjong was the staple game at my house. My dad is really good at it and taught all of my siblin...

Re: Inkheart: Chapters 1-15

I don't really know what to expect after this first chunk of the book. None of the characters seem to be 100% trustworthy and they all have their own secrets. But I do love a good mystery. There are quite a few characters to introduce and I like that it is done mainly through dialogue and actions. I...

Re: Inkheart - April Book Discussion

I've never read the book or seen the movie, but after a "Oh, I haven't been to the library in awhile" realization, I went and got Inkheart a few days ago. It turned out to be a good idea because there is absolutely nothing going on at work today and I've already read through chapter 16.

It sounds like you have a fun, dance-filled term ahead, Gus! My intro won't be as exciting as yours, but here we go: Hello everyone! My name is Scarlet Leslie-Lewis and I'm a Slytherin professor. Outside of HOL, I work as a pharmacist in New Jersey. I'm more of a visual arts and science gal rather t...
