Deathly Hallows - Which one would you choose?

The Deathly Hallows have always been an interesting topic amongst the wizarding world. Some believe they never existed; however, others believe otherwise. We already know the answer, thanks to Harry Potter himself. The question is: which one would you choose? Any particular reason why you would choo...

Playstation vs Xbox

As a child I played Playstation and wish I could go back to play my Harry Potter games. I haven't touched Xbox, but I have heard multiple comments since then. What about you? Do you have any opinions to playing Xbox over Playstation or vice versa?

Re: Harry Potter Legos

I heard of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and The Crimes of Grindelwald legos were out and I want to get some to add to my collection! I have nearly all of the Philosopher's Stone , a good amount of Chamber of Secrets , and some of The Prisoner of Azkaban . I don't have any of the Goblet of...

Re: Weird Food Habits

I'm an oddball when it comes to making my breakfast sometimes, mostly eggs or pancakes. I try new things that I can. This is more of an omelette thing, but I do like putting your not so typical vegetables into scrambled eggs and omelettes, like peas, corn, or celery. On top of this, I try to add in ...

Favorite Dr. Seuss Book

As a child, I never was big on reading; however, I always fascinated by Dr. Seuss's books. One of which was Oh, the Places You'll Go! Mainly because of the crazy imagination Dr. Seuss came up with: the buildings. And the journey Dr. Seuss expresses in the book: you choose your path however you want ...

Re: Week 3 - Discussion: Abridged Books

I agree with you Gail. I do believe that there are, I like to think of them as “short stories,” out there that do catch some people’s interest. I, personally, would like to see it as another path to reading for individuals who have a difficulty in reading original versions or other versions of the e...

Owning a Creature

If you were to own a magical creature, what would it be and why?

I would love to own a crup because they resemble so much to a dog and I love dogs! Also, they can easily blend into the muggle world.

Re: Week 2 - Discussion: Do Audio books recreate the Magic of Communal Storytelling?

It is interesting how you say that Aurelia. I do believe there are voices out there that can be held for stories directed towards young audiences, younger than fifth graders. It gives them the chance for their “voices be heard.” In addition to this, I really do believe that Audio books help a lot wh...

Re: Week 1 - Discussion: How do you read?

'synonyms' feature. I used that instead of a dictionary, because it would usually get the point across for me by giving me several words that I probably knew a number of, that meant at least vaguely the same thing. It was really useful actually, because it meant I developed a larger vocabulary by a...

If you had a time machine, what time would you travel to?

Say you have a time machine, is there a certain era you want to visit, say the future to learn more about technology? Or perhaps the past?
Me, I would take it back in time to visit the Library of Alexandria to learn more about the lost mathematical knowledge.

True Def of a Vampire

There are so many books out there have different descriptions to what a vampire is. How would you describe a vampire? Are they mortal or immortal? Can they live on animal blood instead of humans?

Re: Another perspective

I completely agree with you Shi. From Hermione's point of view, I think it would make an incredible story! One person I do want to see is Viktor Krum's story. Durmstrang is known for their Dark Arts and I feel like the school is easily stereotyped for many negative things. Krum is a "rare"...
